K4K Sandwich Bread

If you want a delicious slicing bread that is keto friendly and gluten free, I have you covered! While I have a bunch of different bread recipes here, this is the only one that uses egg white powder. I feel like it makes it a more “light” textured bread. While not light like a traditional flour bread, it is lighter than the average almond flour based bread. It is more filling than a traditional bread and provides way more protein, vitamins, and minerals too. A delicious keto friendly slicing bread that is gluten-free and toasts well! It is perfect for sandwiches, french toast (just hold the seasonings in it if you want to make it sweet), and more!

Ingredients

  • ½ Cup + 2 Tbsp butter melted
  • 3 medium eggs room temperature
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 ½ Cup almond flour
  • ½ Cup egg white powder (see tips)
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F and line a 9 inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl combine the dry ingredients and whisk them together. Set this bowl aside. In another bowl whisk together the eggs. Use a nonstick spatula/spoon to mix the eggs into the dry mix. Then pour the melted butter in and mix well until fully combined using the non-stick spatula/spoon.
  3. Pour the mix into the loaf pan and bake for 50 mins until the top is golden. You will know it is cooked when you can insert a toothpick into the oaf and it comes out clean. Allow the loaf to FULLY cool before slicing it.

Notes

1.     If you don’t want to buy egg white powder, you can use another of my bread recipes from my website. The hearty slicing bread is a good one!

2.     This freezes well.
