Who misses a nice hearty pice of bread on keto? I made the most AMAZING bread completely keto by tweaking my already fabulous slicing bread recipe! Less ingredients and steps!! Plus better macros!This one has added hemp hearts for a nice nutty flavor(but you can omit it if you don’t have it or want it). I promise this isn’t even remotely eggy tasting and it actually TOASTS! The key is to use MEDIUM sized room temp eggs. You can add seasonings to it to change the flavor but I wanted a versatile bread for sweet and savory recipes.

Keto4Karboholic’s Basic Slicing Bread Makes 20 Slices

1 Slice: 137 Calories, 13g Fat, 1g Carbs, and 4g Protein

1/2 cup + 2 Tbsp Butter melted

4 Medium Eggs Room Temperature

1 tsp baking powder

2 Cup Almond Flour

1/2 tsp coconut flour

1/2 tsp Salt

1 Tbsp instant yeast

3 Tbsp Hemp Hearts

Optional: 1 Tbsp Brown Swerve

Directions

1. Preheat your oven to 350F and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.

2. Crack the ROOM TEMPERATURE eggs into a bowl, and mix them together well just by themselves. I actually prefer to use a hand mixer or stand mixer and mix on high for a full 2 mins!

3. Melt the butter in a small bowl for 35 seconds in the microwave. Add the coconut flour and the yeast to the butter and allow to sit for 2 mins.

4. Then slowly stream the butter into the egg mixture while mixing on low until all incorporated.

5. After that has been mixed combine the almond flour, hemp hearts, Swerve(optional), baking powder and salt together into a small bowl. Mix all of these ingredients together with a fork until well combined. Then, little by little, add it to the egg mixture.

6. Finally pour into the pan and smooth out the top surface of the bread with a spatula and place in the oven to cook for 45-50 minutes.

7. Let the bread cool before slicing!
